Don’t you just love it when an old dance hall opens back up and enters the Texas dancing scene? Well folks, you can now enjoy great dancing on Friday and Saturday nights at the Chicken Ranch Dance Hall in Nechanitz, TX about 12 mile NNE of LaGrange on FM 2145.
Formerly the Nechanitz Saloon & Sparkling Acres Event Center & Dance Hall, the Chicken Ranch Dance Hall features a 1,400 sq. ft. red oak dance floor, seating capacity for 300+, clean spacious rest rooms, ample parking, all in a great country setting!

The Chicken Ranch Dance Hall is operated by Greg and Verinda Dayton, and we intend to provide a great time for all our patrons. That includes the $1.50 beer specials for the first two hours doors open on both Friday and Saturday night! Ice cold beer, wine and set ups are available at the bar.

Meet the Owners.....
Greg Dayton
Greg has been in Food & Beverage for over 20 years, focusing primarily in the Bartending/Bar Management industry. Greg has worked for a variety of high volume 6th Street Bars, Hometown Bars and upscale Resorts. Greg has a fantastic personality and the ability to make everyone laugh! Greg enjoys spending time with our children, Jessi, Chayton & Cheyene. Greg does mobile event bartending for our company, WeTendBar, but primarily runs the dance hall on the weekends at the bar! Greg also works for Dairy Farmers of America in Schulenburg. You will find Greg tending bar at the dance hall, so be sure & stop and introduce yourself! Greg enjoys blues music & one of his favorites singers of all time would have to be Stevie Ray Vaughn! Since the dance hall he has created a long list of Country favorites!
Verinda Dayton
Verinda graduated from Texas School of Bartenders in May 2006 and has been working in the Bartending/Management industry since then. Verinda has worked primarily in the upscale environment, with Resort & Country Club experience. Verinda is very outgoing and enjoys meeting new people. As well Verinda enjoys spending time with our children, Chayton & Cheyene.
Verinda does mobile bartending for special events for our company WeTendBar, manages WeTendBar website, marketing & blog. Verinda handles all website inquires & proposals. Verinda enjoys country dance hall music & dancing! A few of Verinda's favorites included Shawn Jennings & the Southern Roots Band, Pat Waters & the Chainlink Band, Weldon Henson, Jake Kellen, Granger Smith & Jason Allen! You will usually find Verinda working the door at the dance hall if she hasn't slipped away to grab a dance with one of our regulars or if she is not bartending a wedding reception on a Saturday nite! Verinda loves dancing & being twirled around the dance floor!
